These accommodations come equipped with amenities such as air conditioning, digital satellite TV, wireless internet access, mini-fridges, microwaves, coffee/tea makers, USB sockets, electronic safes and facilities for international direct dialling. The lodge’s restaurant presents a modest assortment of al la carte dishes spanning both African and international cuisine. Breakfast service runs between the hours of 6:30 am to 9:30 am while a fully stocked bar is also available on-site.

Day 1: Mafumu Hotel
Arrive in Lilongwe and be transferred to your first hotel (Mafumu Hotel) where you will stay for a night in a bed and breakfast. We will do the vehicle handover today. Mafumu Lodge has 30, en suite executive, double bedrooms, all larger in size than the normal hotel standard. All the rooms are air-conditioned and have digital satellite TV, Wireless Internet, Mini Fridges, Microwave, Coffee/ Tea making facilities, USB sockets, electronic safe and international direct dialling facilities. The lodge has a restaurant which offers a basic selection of al la carte choices - both African and international cuisine. Breakfasts are served from 06.30 to 09.30. There is also a well-stocked bar.

Day 2: Rafiki Safari Camp
After breakfast, you start off to Nkhotakota (allow 5hrs) where you stay at Rafiki safari camp for 2 nights on Full board. Located adjacent to the Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve and the Bua River, the lodge has.... chalets and offers magnificent views across the Miombo woodland forest. Set in private expansive and mature natural gardens, the lodge has a Malawi feel that incorporates thatched roofs with Luxury Safari tents for its guest rooms and thatched public areas. The campsites are equipped with traditional Malawian laps and barbecues/braais. The camping area boasts a full ablution block with hot and cold water.

Day 3: Rafiki Safari Camp
Day in the game reserve with optional activities such as bush walks, and canoeing in the Bua river (this depends on the level of water in the river). All meals at the lodge.

Day 4: Makuzi Beach Lodge
Depart for the northern lakeshore of Chintheche (allow 3.5 hours) and you will be at Makuzi beach Lodge for 2 nights on a self-catering basis. Please note that the lodge is currently self-catering basis if the booking is not for a group of min.6pax. Makuzi Beach Lodge is located along the northern shores of Lake Malawi on its own private bay. Makuzi Beach has 3 stylish en suite thatched executive chalets and 8 standard en suite chalets - all nestled in manicured gardens overlooking the lake’s warm, clear waters. The lodge is perfectly positioned to offer guests spectacular views of the lake while enjoying a quiet drink at the bar. There’s a wide variety of activities: swimming, snorkelling, fishing, kayaking or just wallowing in the lake. Makuzi Beach is involved in community projects, one of which is the village tour and includes a visit to the historical missionary site, museum and a taste of the local cuisine. Horse riding and scuba diving can be arranged off-site. Bird-watching opportunities are some of the best along the lake.

Day 5: Makuzi Beach Lodge
Day on the beach with optional activities such as water sporting. Motorized watersports can be arranged with the lodge at extra cost.

Day 6: Chelinda Lodge
Today you proceed with the northern tour to Nyika Plateau (allow 6hrs) and you stay at Chelinda Lodge for 3 nights on a self-catering basis. Please note that the lodge is in transition to the new management and the current management is only offering the self-catering service with a chef to help you with cooking. Chelinda Lodge is in the heart of the beautiful and unique Nyika Plateau National Park. Each beautiful pine chalet has large windows, and spacious balconies, are comfortably furnished, en suite with a fireplace. The communal public area and bar are well-appointed with superb views and comfortable facilities as well as a sauna. Activities include game drives, walking, mountain biking, birding and fly fishing for trout.

Day 7: Chelinda Lodge
Day in the park with optional activities that you can arrange with the lodge. These range from game drives, guided game walks, guided bike riding and fishing at extra cost.

Day 9: Luwawa Lodge
After breakfast, you will be driving back to Viphya Plateau (allow 6hrs) and you will stay at Luwawa Forest Lodge for 2 nights on dinner, bed and breakfast. Luwawa Forest Lodge is an international guesthouse and outdoor adventure centre just a 3.5 hours drive from Lilongwe, the lodge overlooks a large, well-stocked lake. Luwawa is ideal for family and individual holidays. All double-story units are equipped with their own self-catering kitchen, two bedrooms and a small lounge overlooking the gardens. En-suite family rooms sleep 4 in two bedrooms. They also have dorms for groups and a private camping area.

Day 10: Luwawa Lodge
Day in the Forest with optional activities that can be arranged by the lodge, activities range from Bird watching, guided walks, canoeing on the Luwawa mini lake and fishing. All these are at an extra cost. Dinner at the lodge.

Day 11: Mafumu Hotel
Depart for Lilongwe today (allow 4hrs) and stay at The Latitude 13 hotel for your last night on bed and breakfast.

Day 12: Departure
Today we off-hire the vehicle and coordinate your transfers to the airport for your flight back home. End of service.
