As soon as you step off the plane at Kilimanjaro airport, a warm and friendly representative from Sense of Africa – East Africa will be there to greet you with a smile. This dedicated individual will expertly guide you through the airport and assist with your luggage, making sure you have everything you need before heading off to the town of Arusha. During the journey, you can relax and soak in the breathtaking views of the lush green landscape and towering mountains. Once you arrive at your hotel, the representative will provide a comprehensive briefing on your upcoming safari, ensuring that you have a clear understanding of what to expect and how to make the most of your adventure.

Day 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport - Arusha
Kilimanjaro International Airport – Ex flight TBA
Met on arrival at the Kilimanjaro airport by a Sense of Africa - East Africa representative who will assist to transfer you to Arusha town for check-in followed by the safari briefing at the hotel.
The rest of the day is spent at leisure with optional activities that can be booked and paid for locally.

Day 2: Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park
Breakfast at the hotel followed by check out.
Depart Arusha and drive over to the Lake Manyara National Park.
We arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. Then after lunch, we head into the Lake Manyara National Park for an afternoon game drive. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. (30 km, approximately 2.5 Hours’ drive).

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park - Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River. This river provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park. (205 km, approximately 6 Hours’ drive).

Day 4 - Day 5: Serengeti National Park
Today you spend the whole day on game drive in this National Park, which is rich with all different species of animals. To give you a better chance of seeing the big five (Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino) you will carry a picnic lunch with you and spend the full day in the Serengeti National Park

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Breakfast at the hotel followed by check out
Depart Serengeti and drive over to the Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Continue to Ngorongoro crater. The crater covers over 102 square miles (250 square kilometres) of land and is the home of the rare black rhino, pride of lion, elephant, cheetah and great herds of buffalo, antelope and wildebeest.
Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. The rest of the afternoon is spent at leisure at the lodge. (195 km, approximately 4.5 Hours’ drive)

Day 7: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Early morning breakfast at the lodge
Today depart with picnic lunch boxes and descend over 600 meters to the floor of the crater for a full day’s crater tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food.
Picnic lunches will be served in the crater.

Day 8: Ngorongoro - Tarangire National Park
Breakfast at the lodge followed by check out.
Depart Ngorongoro and drive over to the Tarangire National Park. On arrival proceed for a mid-morning game drive en route to the lodge.
The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park contains some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African national park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings.
Arrive at your lodge for check-in followed by lunch. Later depart for the afternoon game drive in the park. (155 km, approximately 3 Hours’ drive).

Day 9: Tarangire National Park – Arusha Town
Clients have the option of going for an early morning game drive before breakfast at the lodge. Depart after breakfast and drive back to Arusha with a leisurely game drive en route.
Arrive at the Mount Meru Hotel for check followed by lunch at the hotel.
The rest of the day is spent at leisure with optional activities that can be booked and paid for locally. (120 km, approximately 2 Hours’ drive).

Day 10: Tarangire - Arusha/JRO for Drop Off
Breakfast at the hotel – (Hotel check-out time is at 1000hrs).
This will be a day to relax, around the pool or do some shopping before you fly back to Dar es Salaam. Later transfer to Arusha airport for your onward flight to Dar es Salaam or Zanzibar. (120 km, approximately 2 Hours’ drive)
